Project Saloni focuses on empowering adolescent girls aged 10-19 years, their families and wider community with integrated community development approach in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Core interventions of the project include integrated village planning on children, adolescent girls and community development needs, life skill education through community resource centers, community capacity building, children and youth led advocacy, social andbehaviour change communication and mainstreaming with government schemes and mechanisms. Thematic focus of the project is on education, child protection, health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene. It implements innovative strategies like integrated village planning, children and youth reporters, community resource center to bring and address the issues of children, adolescent girls and their families in heart of ground level community development.
