Foundation has built up a multi-disciplinary team of professionals having practical experience and skills in different sectors of development. Over the decade of our existence in development sector, Foundation has developed strong professional base including competent team of professionals, networking and partnership with development institutions, programme management systems and infrastructure for quality implementation of sector specific and integrated development programmes in different parts of Uttar Pradesh. We are headquartered in Lucknow with field unit offices well equipped with required facilities in different project locations.
SARATHI DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION has evolved its management structures over a period of time. At the headquarter, it has small but professionally managed groups. These groups include, Grassroots Facilitation Group, Monitoring & Research Group, Training & Capacity Building Group, and Finance Group. All these four groups provide specialized inputs in implementation and monitoring of project activities. It is experienced that management systems play an important role not only in implementation of the programmes effectively but also to gain and sustain the credibility. Hence, right from the beginning, we have evolved transparent and flexible systems for project management, human resource management and financial management. These systems have further strengthened the confidence of donor agencies in us and enabled us to upscale partnerships for development programmes. Foundation has established financial management unit to manage the funds with honesty, transparency and accountability. This unit functions under constant supervision and monitoring of the Director. Foundation has computerized financial and accounts management system.
Sarathi’s success in carrying out different programs simultaneously across Uttar Pradesh is largely due to its large and well trained teams. Director at Sarathi oversees all projects and is assisted by a Senior Program Manager. An accounts team, a behavior change communication specialist and a monitoring and documentation specialist provide cross-project support. Teams at Sarathi also receive project wise support from three advisors, consultants (for research and training purposes) and local trainers (provide field support). The chart below reflects the organizational structure for Sarathi.
