DISHA Children’s Project is being implemented in urban slums of Firozabad, where children and their families engaged in home-based bangle and glass work. It brings proven life stage approach categorizing and prioritising needs of children, adolescents and youths in age group from birth to 24 years, their families and wider community. It implements proven programme models and practices focused on mother child health & nutrition, education, child protection, adolescents’ health, basic life skills, enterprise education, livelihood development. Major strategies include integrated slum planning, community led advocacy system, behavioural change communication interconnected with sectoral service, government system strengthening and linkages.
